Porsche enthusiasts in Indonesia participated in PSDS AustraliaPorsche Sport Driving School (PSDS) in Australia

Jakarta. Porsche Indonesia cordially invited Porsche enthusiasts in Indonesia including Porsche Club Indonesia (PCI) to participate in Porsche Sport Driving School (PSDS) in Brisbane, Australia on July 2 – 7, 2016. The driving skills training followed by 21 participants from Jakarta, Bandung, Bogor, Surabaya and Bali.

The training has 5 levels. Level 1 and 2 took place in Mount Cotton Training Centre meanwhile level 3 to 5 was held in Queensland Raceway circuit.

The agenda for level 1 “Precision” areskid pan training, off-road experience, braking and acceleration during wet driving as well as driving exercise in closed road circuit – apexes and cornering. Level 2 “Precision Plus” has not much different training program with level 1, it was added with high pace lane change during wet driving, also oversteer and understeer during skid pan. Continue to level 3 “Performance”, where participants had test drive in circuit, slalom and corner braking.

For participants who pass through the initial three levels will continue to level 4 “Master”. At this level participants will do several laps in circuit with radio instruction only from the instructor with Porsche GT3. The last level which is the highest is level 5 “GT3 Cup” where participants drive Porsche Car Cup with data recorded by Porsche engineers in between.

Participants on Master level only followed by six participants and GT3 Cup only 4 participants due to limited number.

“It has been now almost a tradition to invite our customers every year to the Porsche Sport Driving School in Australia as we work very closely with their highly trained and qualified instructors for our local Porsche Sport Driving School in Indonesia. We enjoy seeing our customers in a very professional environment where the car and the driver can be tested to its limit.

We are looking forward welcoming more Porsche enthusiasts to our local driving events in Indonesia, where it is not only about going fast on the race track but sharing stories and experiences and having fun with their fellow Porsche friends”.

Porsche Sport Driving School aims to provide appropriate high-speed Porsche driving training based on individual driving skills level. In here participants were accompanied by experienced instructors consisting of racer, test drivers and engineer working on the Porsche unit development. Participants got the chance to test all type of Porsche cars both on-road and off-road as well as the opportunity to experience the excellence of Porsche technology especially on safety aspects.

Participants are taught in stages started from basic technic on vehicle handling up to getting their own racing license after passed the level 5. Motorkhana program to be held at the end of each level where participants had the opportunity to compete with other participants for fun. All participants were really enjoy and feel the importance of safety aspects not only from the features owned by Porsche, but also how to use it and drive properly.

“I really enjoyed the time together with fellow Porsche enthusiasts for this 3 days and the program obtained is very useful. I am looking forward to continue to level 4 and 5 next year so my driving skills will further developed and proper,” said one of PSDS Brisbane participants from Jakarta.
