The powerful appearance of the new 911 RSR is not just a matter of chance. Each centimetre of its body has been tailored to the uncompromising standards of GT endurance racing. A product of legendary experience.

With the new 911 RSR, we are giving new expression to Fascination Sports Car. A racing car where each individual component, each function and each characteristic serves to achieve a sophisticated overall concept. Inside and out. Apparent contradictions are combined in perfect harmony: safety and lightweight construction. Efficiency and power. Performance and endurance.
In other words: greater aerodynamic efficiency, greater safety than ever before and better orientation of the driver. Combined with repair and service efficiency that permits faster repairs as well as the replacement of entire body segments.
A suspended rear wing, the extended rear diffuser and new side mirrors help the new 911 RSR to increase downforce with reduced drag.
The heart of the super sports car is the 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat engine with direct fuel injection. Shifted well forwards and installed in a rotated position for the first time, it improves the dynamic handling characteristics and increases the setup options offered by the vehicle. The new 6-speed claw shifted transmission with magnesium housing and electromechanical shift mechanism complements the drive with shorter shifting times and minimises any disruptive factors during gear changes. The result is improved handling and increased reliability of the overall drive train.
The new 911 RSR has a fundamentally revised safety concept: The new bucket seat has been shifted further inwards to offer the driver added protection in the event of a collision. Together with the newly developed safety cage, this makes the racing car safer than ever before.
