The financial year 2011 saw the company embark on efforts to achieve a much firmer footing for its social responsibility activities. Porsche AG clearly demonstrated its intentions by setting up a "Corporate Social Responsibility" (CSR) department reporting to the CEO within its "Policy and Society" division. The CSR concept which has been drawn up focuses on the central issue of sustainability, and is also based on Strategy 2018.

The company's involvement covers the five pillars of sport, culture, education/science, social issues and the environment. Porsche AG has identified and implemented relevant projects for all of these areas since 2012.
